Yearbooks

Yearbooks from high school or college are one of the most fun set of records for a genealogist to search. It provides you with a ton of story-like information about your ancestor’s life. What their interests were, what sports and clubs they participated in, and often some goofy snapshots of them before they settled into being an adult. And of course, you get to see what they looked like.

Here are a few articles that may convince you to research these gems:

And here is an article providing information on where else you can find online yearbooks; some need a subscription and some do not:

This list of links below will always be for FREE yearbooks that you can search online. Yes there are yearbooks available on subscription sites like Ancestry or My Heritage, but all these below are all free.

Please note that some of the yearbooks are not searchable but are an image of each page in the yearbook.

Please note that there may seem to be duplicates. If there are, that means that there are multiple sites where the same school yearbooks are available online.

Please note that I am not including the years available for each yearbook collection. This is because new (and old) yearbooks are constantly being digitized and added to these collections and will always change.

Please note that any links to yearbook collection sites are accurate at the time of publication. Collection updates may occur (as well as dead links) in the future, both of which are out of my control. It is not the intention of the author (me) to maintain a complete or constantly updated list for all time. In other words, please don’t yell at me if this is not 100% complete and/or accurate forever.
